I was going to wait until DH was at a good stopping point with the kitchen before asking if he would help me with sheep. I needed to separate all the ewe lambs born this year before the ram went in the main pen. We went to the sheep field to check on our pregnant cow and he asked if I wanted to separate then. Yes, please! We threw a few alfalfa flakes into a small, solid sided pen. Once all the ewes and lambs ran in, my daughter shut the gate on them. One by one, my husband grabbed all the ewe lambs (6) and we put them in the alley. We herded the babies down the alley into one of the ram's pens. Then let the ram and girls together. He was ecstatic, haha. None of the girls appeared to be ready for him but he still attempted. I made sure to write the date in my calendar and then calculate for the earliest due date so I don't get surprised next year.

My husband got the rest of the kitchen floor laid last night. It looks great. He is going to lay down some quarter round or something along the edges but otherwise, it's done. It's going to be so much easier to clean!

On Sunday night, our older children participated in the church Christmas program. I hadn't seen any of it so it was fun to be surprised. During "Away in a Manger" I heard my daughter switch octaves. 😂 she wasn't even closest to the mic but her voice is unmistakable. I even got it on video. Both she and my younger daughter had a speaking part, which I didn't realize! I got both of those on video, too. I was a proud mama.

I have 3 of those fleece tied blankets. I wish they were longer, they are more like a lap blanket. 2 were made for my granddaughters and 1 for my mom.
Did you make them or someone else?
I had a tie blanket my little sister gave me that was such an awkward size. She was a teenager at the time and confessed she was trying to save money. It looked like a table runner. 😂

Every time I use Craigslist, it takes away a little more of my faith in humanity.
I've had my cockerels listed for a couple weeks now. I had someone express interest a while ago, but he couldn't come until this week. I said ok, but it was first come first serve, no holds. No one else has wanted them so they were still available. He emailed the day before yesterday and said he could come tomorrow. Day came and went, doesn't show up. He emails later and said he was going to Chicago and could probably get them on the way there. I said ok, I plan to be home that day.
At 4pm today, I texted him and asked if he was coming.
I don't even know what to say to this.

On one hand, no one else has expressed interest and I want to sell them. However, I'm annoyed at the lack of communication and assuming on my time.
What would you say?

I'd say I'm not setting up time for another "no show" I can always make them freezer stock. It's not big deal to him, so just give him that brush off. Sometimes it's not worth the time! Ya know, chicken isn't free at the store. Hey, I've got 6 of those extras, young & unwanted! I feel your pain at the thought of butchering 😵‍💫

There's an auction near me this Sat -- guess where I'm taking them for a day away

Many people don't have any concern for the time of others. Sadly, the lessening of integrity in our world is real. I can understand how you feel. But, just realize not everyone is that way. You could always lower the price a bit in a separate ad and see if someone else decides that works for them. But, I wouldn't sell them at the price to the first buyer.

I'd tell him, don't bother, that they are already gone, butcher them and put in the freezer for some delicious soup for my family. Durned if I'd sell them to him now.
