Hi all, I decided to officially introduce myself here, even though I've already made one post. Anyway, here's a bit about me and my livestock background :D

I live temporarily live in Southern CA, but will be moving back to where I'm from(central CA) around June. I'm a senior in high school and a member of FFA, so that's how I've gotten most of my farming experience.
I'll be getting my first ever goat this weekend, and it will be a project for FFA. I usually own and show sheep, but this year I had bad luck :c
I love love love livestock and when I'm older I do hope to have as many animals as possible xD I want to work in the ag industry, and I love all parts of it.
I also love to garden, and currently am growing 3 onion types, multiple fruit trees, carrots, radishes, and cucumbers. I also hope to expand on this in the future as well :)

Thanks for reading, I hope to get to know everyone and become a part of the community!

:welcome You'll have to share pics of your new goat when you get it :D

HELLO!
We are almost neighbors haha.
On the same side of the U.S. I happen to be in NW Oregon, but I have family in Moreno Valley.

AND YES.
SOMEONE MY AGE FINALLY.
I'm actually in my first year of college, but that's not far away from Highschool.
I'd love to see pictures of the SHEEP, and the goat. haha

Welcome!:celebrate

Welcome! I was in FFA about a hundred years ago. My best friend and were the first girls in FFA in our area, tells you that was a looooong time ago! The Houston Chronicle newspaper came out and did a story on us. So funny to think about that now. Glad to have you hare and so nice that @Parsnip has a age appropriate new friend! :gig

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone :D

Lol Yay for similar age groups xD I actually have family in Oregon as well, haha.
I'll be sure to post pictures of the goat once I get him, I'll have to find some of the sheep.

That's awesome Baymule, it's crazy how now FFA is mainly comprised of girls, haha.

In 1971, it was an all boys club. We had a 100 acre ag farm that we went to daily and changed our clothes to keep from getting our school clothes dirty. My friend and I had to go to the girls gym to change, as the boys had a dressing room in the ag room, but it had glass windows all across it. It was a different world then.....

:welcome I am still a newbie! You will love it. So many nice people with lots of info and experiences to share with you. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Beware: Very addicting!
