Beautiful.
Love ya' - and I want you to step back just a smidge.....
I know you still love all of them, and especially Heath, and want him back with all your heart and more. That pain and desire are real. You hoped and prayed for him in Fen. But Fen turned to Randy. Look at Boone. He is perhaps God's answer for Heath. See the big picture around him (no pun intended but Boone is big ;)). See how far he and you have come in a short time. He makes you smile, ..... a lot. He makes US smile as well. Boone is not all that Heath was, Boone is Boone - he is far and above what anyone would expect from an LGD. He is all your dog his heart and his soul.
Love ya'.

Absolutely, and I adore Boone, I do. But he IS an LGD breed and there are things he can’t or doesn’t do, so I am waiting on God to bring me a pup that can fill in the holes.
Heading to IdHo this morning for livestock feed. Started out horrible. Boone had a complete meltdown on dirt road, Randy thought driving down it at 80mph was a good idea so both the dog and I had panic attacks. It didn’t save him any time because once the pain in my wrists and shoulders was untenable I could no longer hold Boone back and he forced his way up front and onto the drivers side damn near killing all of us…so he hit the brakes and 140 lb of dog was headed into the windshield worth only my upper body to stop It from happening.
He’s finally strapped into the back with a vest and cable. I am praying pain meds take care of the pain from this morning’s calisthenics

Trip home was worse. Boone is completely terrified of the dirt road now. He was actively trying to break through both side windows and windshield. The panting, drooling is horrible to see, he clawed the hell out of me and also tried to climb on top of Randy while he was driving. I won’t be able to take him anywhere, anymore, unless the vet will give me a fast acting prescription for him, without seeing him. 😰
