thanks fuzzi. Thank you all for bearing with me through this total melt down.
Spoke to Dr and migraine is a side effect of the spinal injection so no worries there. I still have a bit of headache but no sensitivity to light and noise that was so unbearable over the weekend. Now it’s time to figure out how to move forward. After another knock down drag out he finally took bil to the shop with him this afternoon instead of foisting him on me all day again. It’s shocking what a relief it was not to have him here.
I hope and pray Randy doesn’t just ignore it and leave him in the house with me again tomorrow.

Gizmo has been such a kick. She’s very attentive to me. I’m so grateful she chose me. She’s almost constantly on my lap or laying beside me, always touching ❤️ I will glance down to find she has just been staring in my eyes. She gets so excited when it’s dinner time, she flies through the house like a whirling dervish, just a blur of movement and flies into her crate nearly rolling it over in the process.
When she wants out, she goes to the door and every single time, Boone jumps up to open it for her and let her out.

He does the same when she wants back inside. She paws at the knob a bit but not very seriously as she knows he will take care of it. She only goes out to potty, not to play, like he and Fen. She prefers my company to anything else ❤️
It’s a relief for me though, knowing he will take care of her when we go to town with Fen. No accidents in the house, we are gone too long for crates and they have each other to play with.
I can’t for the life of me figure out what she’s a mix of. She’s about 30 lb. Quick, quick, quick. She’s on a ball before it has a chance to travel.
Anyway, she’s a keeper. I got no need for her and no use but she definitely belongs. I can’t stand the thought that she felt rejection in the past. What a little varmint!

So glad your headache is letting up. Hopefully the treatment will start to help. :hugs

Glad your other headache went out to the shop and hopefully it continues to go out there. Better yet, it will realize it's not wanted at all and it will go all of the way back to it's home.

I'm so happy that you and that sweet girl found each other. What a blessing for you and for her! 🥰

Love that BIL was taken to shop! Needs to be a full time thing. After all, he was "to help Randy" no antagonize you. Insist he goes daily.

Gizmo...I'm thinking something like border collie is in there 😂 the look, the quickness, the rambunctious & smarts. Whatever it is, she fills a need. Love Boone opening doors for her. Another smart one.

Gizmo fills a need, and you fill hers. It's reported that rescue/shelter dogs are grateful for a new secure family. I saw it with my Cleo, who, the first night after bringing her home, settled down next to our bed with a deep, DEEP sigh of relief.

Glad you're feeling better!! That has got to be a relief, and the other headache out of the house at least to the shop gives you a chance to have your space without sharing with an ingrate.
I had my thoughts on Gizmo and @Mini Horses and @fuzzi nailed it --- so I'll say Border Collie x Sheltie cross. Didn't have Sheltie in the mix until @fuzzi said it. Totally makes sense - the brains and quickness of both in one package. :)

She’s got an irregular white patch along with some red interspersed on her cheeks and legs and her head is a little Queenslandy to me , but now that you guys mention the BC and Sheltie, I can see those!

Bad weather today and horrendous pain in my hands and wrists, but oddly enough my back and legs etc are not a big problem. I had measured out flour and salt last night while my starter was waking up and added the starter and water to the mixer this morning. When it came time for stretch and folds, I got through one set then couldn’t tolerate more, so after Randy got in around 3, I had to verbally walk him through dividing it, folding, rolling, shaping and building tension in the loaf before putting them in the bannetons. He should be able to learn to carry on making the SD bread if he has to, since it’s so much easier than regular.
I feel bad because everything is falling to him, but I suppose if he chose, he could demand lazy bil do something. At least vacuum.
I just hope this issue with my hands is temporary. I’m thirsty because I can’t even lift my glass. Glad I have straws but it’s still pretty inconvenient trying to position the chair so I can get my mouth down to it. 🥴

Boone is Boone. His brilliant amazing self, able to understand whatever I ask of him. Giz jumped off my lap, knocking both a pillow and the wrist braces I was trying to get on. I only had to say “gimmee those please”. I didn’t even point . He knew they didn’t belong on the floor even not knowing what they were, and after placing it all on my lap, he quickly snatched up the tv changer so I could hide it before bul got through the door 😁

He’s 1 in a gazillion ❤️

On the bread ---- I did sourdough for years and always wondered if I could do regular bread, just using the sourdough method of stretch and fold. Well -- I tried it, and it really worked!! When I follow the regular bread directions it's an utter failure.

@peteyfoozer have you ever tried “Artisan bread in 5 minutes a day”? You can buy the book from Amazon, but this link is an adapted version.

It’s a no-knead recipe that you mix up and store in your fridge for up to two weeks. Then on the day you want to use it, you spend (roughly) 5 minutes shaping the dough, let it rise 40 minutes, then bake it about 35 minutes.

It’s not sourdough, but it does start to ferment and the longer you keep it in the fridge the more sour it becomes.
