IS this even a farm? Canesister's 2026

Grill baby grill !!! A little olive oil and salt --yum. Even just two.
This! Or even roast them in a pan until they are black and crispy!

I have found that thick ones from the grocery store are tough and stringy. I wonder if fresh from the garden would be better? I bend them to find the point where they snap crisply, then eat the crisp tips and throw away the rubbery bottom part. I used to give that part to the chickens, but mine don’t like asparagus. You could always compost it.

I cut them into 1/2" pieces, sautéed in butter with some walking onion. Added chicken. Mixed into curly pasta with a creamy Alfred sauce & some black olives.
😋
Little too much pasta. Kinda lost the asparagus in there. Still tasty though.
Will enjoy for work lunch the next couple of days.

I eat them raw! And the thicker ones are soooooo delish, whether from the grocery store or the 6 or 8 that I harvest from my corms. The thin ones are fibrous and they are the last of the stalk - the top few inches

Perhaps its the difference between west and east coast?

I too snap them off at the bottom where it gives. I then cut the really woody stuff off and give the dogs the rest of the snap. They love them.
