Earlier this morning Caleb pushed, had Debbie cornered at the end of the hall. I heard her growl, saw the situation, called Caleb. He looked at me, hesitated, then moved toward Debbie. She smacked him hard, and he looked surprised. I walked closer, in case intervention was needed, said "Do it again, Debbie, he needs to learn!" She hissed, I took a step, touched Caleb, and herded him away.
It's the next step, Debbie needs to teach him respect, but I don't want her hurt, either. She's never faced a dog before that didn't love her.
