Enjoying a down day here too.
Been a long couple of weeks. Two 6-day weeks at the office, yet another surprise meeting with HR (this time with my boss's boss too šŸ™„), trying to get back into going to church (visiting one 1/2 between here & my best friend) ,
Got up at 6 to let the chickens out & laid back down till 8. Still in jammies & its nearly noon.
Going to HAVE to go to the grocery store at some point.....
Anybody have any streaming recommendations for something light, funny, easy to watch... not depressing? Seems everything I've picked lately is kinda intense
Roxanne with Steve Martin (or at least the bar insult scene)
Young Frankenstein

Ah - sure seems like a lot of us are having similar weather! I make it a coast to coast obervation!
Sat-Mon (can't believe today is actually TUESDAY) - it was pea-soup fog all morning (like to 11 or so), Sun/Mon it was that an drizzly rain (still don't understand how it could still be foggy with that but it was) Temps mid 50s to mid 60s. Today - heavy overcast.
The weekend was ~supposed to be the greenhouse build. But the spot where it's going remains empty with the treated wood foundation. However, lots did get done! All in the garage - all panels assembled and ready to go outside. With luck and a few prayers it will be up today all together. As in the words of a fave tv show (Battlebots) -
It's Greenhouse Building Day.
Finishing my coffee and then out to help and do the normal Tuesday (is it really Tuesday?) ranch chores like stripping out the sheep stall, etc.

Oooo! I need to work on a Frau Blucher routine and give Vladinia some time off. Cloris Leachman was my stepmother’s roommate in college and I’ve met her. Very nice lady. I’m pretty sure Frau Blucher was based on my stepmother.

It appears to have been more serious than I thought.
This morning, first thing, I received (from that difficult coworker) an apology, a couple of bags of Werther's candy, a little note AND a big Thank You for "always being available to help and for setting up the schedule" where I'd close for her a couple of times a week.

The atmosphere is much better all of the sudden...
My challenge now will be to forgive & show grace to someone who I know I can not trust.

Coffee was needed this morning when Fen woke me up too early. He had found several large branches to drag in the house while I slept and peeled all the bark off in my living room šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«. He ran around like a pinball machine, then suddenly stopped, climbed into his crate, laid down and gave me ā€œthe lookā€. He wanted breakfast. He stupidvises while I fix it then runs back to get into position and adopts this haughty attitude like he’s some kind of famous food critic.
So I served breakfast to him, to TheMan who is apparently incapable of making a smoothie on his own, and the rabbits. Then…coffee. Ahhh

You can forgive to the point of getting along. You DO NOT EVER FORGET.....I think they read her the riot act and probably threatened termination. You can be civil, you do not have to go overboard. Just give yourself a little pep talk and since you have been able to "grin and bear it" up til now... it ought to be even a little easier now. I have faith in you to be able to deal with it. And since you are so gracious to work out a schedule to close for her some days, and work some Saturdays (even though you like the peacefulness) then you will have a few more "brownie points" to be able to take off or switch off a few Saturdays so you can have a life... LIKE Sat SEPT 16th... for Gilman's sale... besides, just realized it is my birthday, and I am hitting a real milestone... so want to have a few friends to "celebrate it"..... !!!!!

🤬Apparently we only had a 1 year warranty on our house. Lovely! So emailed our homeowner's insurance agent.

šŸ¤žIf I read the policy correctly, it is a $250 deductible on water overflow vs $1000 general deductible. šŸ¤ž
