My rig truck is a 96' ford cab and chassis. I don't want souped up, no stage 3 injectors or super turbo just a 4" exhaust, ccv mode and I'm pretty darn sure the turbo isn't mounted correctly deeming it useless. When I had the 6.7l it pulled the camper to and from a job. When new to me and a working tune it would MOVE even with a travel trailer and get almost double the mpg of the 96' with out a trailer. If the welder quit I'd run home and switch to the 96' 7.3l. I've had to use the 96' a few times and it's gutless pulling and getting 11mpg without a trailer. I've taken it from western to eastern KS on the way home with my camper once with your kind of winds. Less than 8 mpg and a max speed of 55 unless there was a mile or more of a wind block near the hwy. Both my 7.3s have over 250k and should safely double that with those little increases in power. Again not soupin em up, just tuning a little.
I had a 96 back before they were F450’s or F550 it was F Superduty, 4:63 rears 19.5 wheels I modified to fit from a GM motorhome, 2WD, leaf spring front axle, 4 inch exhaust, tuner, cross over pipe to balance oil pressure, ditched the flat pipe out of the turbo, switched turbine out to different A/R, EBP delete, WW turbo wheel, and many other things. Would pull a 40’ shipping container up to 65 mph even with stuff in it. Don’t remember the mpg, around 10. Mileage I had about the same, weak spot besides CPS was driveline brake.

Same truck more or less. I still have 16" wheels and all original except standard replacement parts. Ordering parts is hard for some people to get. a 250 or a 350 NO again a super duty look at the computer a little while longer. I've gotten the wrong parts before and later found out they just punched something in instead of listening.

I also wish it had more gears.

Actually the F450 of that year is of same frame spacing as medium duty trucks and up with 10 lugs not 8.

This applies to anyone running a business including livestock…

“C” clients. They are always in a rush, talk big game and then bitch and moan when they get a bill.
Fire those clients immediately.

“B” clients want to be treated fair, never complain but require a little more attention. Those are the clients that keep the lights on. You send them Xmas cards.

“A” Clients pay fast and pay well, they get first spots on your schedule and they are the ones that help you grow. You call them on Xmas eve and thank them personally for the work.

Good morning. Sipping coffee and just chilling. Was going to mow this morning but I woke up with a borderline heat headache, so the yard will have to wait. I do not want heat exhaustion again, every time it gets worse.

Going to try something different.
