Coffee is ready. Got to go to feed store this morning, to get feed for @Margali sheep. The smallest amount they sell in super bags is 500 pounds. I went to Atwoods yesterday to get some metal trash cans. They had 7 but no lids. Other places, big box stores were up to $15 higher, nope. I have her metal can, at least one 55 gallon barrel, so I’m gonna wing it and figure it out. I was thinking on trying to be able to get both mine and hers on the same trip, but that would be 1500 pounds to scoop into 5 gallon buckets, then dump in metal cans, on the same day…… it would save diesel fuel, but who would save me?

Sipping coffee, heading to the farmers' market shortly, then checking Habitat for Humanity for yard stuff. I'm planning to arrive when they open. They're still in a bad area of town, but I think it's safe to say most of the criminal types won't be out of bed by 9:30am.

It is long sleeve shirts from here on out, highs in the 60's at most. If the president wants to do anything sensible we should get rid of the time flipping thingy, such BS. Wife is still on vacation...

Same here @Weldman I am not sure how ready I am for my first Montana winter.
Pouring rain here, by tonight it'll be snow.
Going to try and run all day today, was hoping I would get one more Saturday to run before winter hits, but I'll grab the raincoat and hope for the best.

You get use to it. Once it starts, plan for May for it to stop, then when May gets here you start getting ready for next winter. Pretty simple, by September/October you start worrying you are out of time and it's any day now.

I was awake much of the night. I thought of Rachel's Haven and her hubs, there near Baltimore. I don't know if he is a govt employee, but if he is, I worry for her.

Bought & unloaded a truckload of hay. Fed herd. Then, while they liesurally laid around chewing, I packed all the barns with hay for late day/overnight. Cued up bales in barns to refill in morn. Yeah, rain & hay is soooo much fun! They're suggesting 2.5" tonight thru Mon morn. Great

Needed to get to goat auction. Nope. Another wait. Tried to buy this hay earlier in week, waited on supply to arrive. It did about dark yesterday. Rounds there 1.5 hr away but farmer not there. It's done, just not my schedule.
