Whatever happened to that poster "celia something" ??? She was on everyday/ constantly, she and "wife" had the baby (AI) and all that and wound up with twins.... probably been a year or close since last seen....

It's pouring again today -- over 2 1/2 inches so far.
Almost finished a whole pot of tea. Figured coffee would be too much of a buzzzzzzz.
Going to be a lot of clean up / fix up --- tomorrow will be too wet and jury duty on Friday
(it's a call in the night before - hopefully I won't have to go in - but it'll be FIVE days of call in

I got my first EVER summons for jury duty a couple of weeks ago. The dates I am 'on call'??? The dates of my Disney Vaca!!!It's pouring again today -- over 2 1/2 inches so far.

I sent them a copy of the airline ticket info and asked to be moved to another time, they excused me for the EXACT dates of my vaca but I still have to call in and serve the week before.... My boss is going to LOVE if I end up missing TWO weeks instead of just the one.....

The last four times I've been summoned, I've some how managed to get on jury trials - UGH. All of them long ones lasting several weeks. All I can say is our system is so broke it isn't funny. When you are given a photo and a video of the perp doing something illegal and they say you can't use it because you can't zoom in to see things closely -- and you have peeps on the jury that will look at the photos and vids and then say - "well he did it, but I'm still not voting guilty" -- yeah - it's broke and busted.
Or bank statements and emails stating X and juror #4 says "I don't care - that's not what I believe" - YEAH frustrating, these people walk among us.

I have never been chosen for just duty. Ever. Maybe they don’t like my attitude.
I was called for a case where the boyfriend ran up ex girlfriend credit cards, over $20,000, which made it a felony. As they questioned me, I flat out told them his grandmama needed to take him out behind the barn and give him a whipping with a peach switch. Everybody laughed. I was not chosen.

Even when I WANTED to be chosen and minded my manners-not a chance! What is wrong with me? I try to be well behaved, but I think they smell that I’m a wild card and can’t be manipulated.

Man - they never ask any questions where I could even get a chance to show my cards. They just ask if you have a family member in law enforcement, if you can spend x days/weeks on a trial - stuff like that.

Ouch. I've only been called once (knock on wood) and it was when I was in college and 19 years old. Had to get it moved to summer, kinda hard to sit in the "waiting room" all day, every day for 2 weeks when you live in a dorm 45 minutes away and have classes every day.
Maybe what they smell is sheep
