Just read that 1.7 million eggs have been recalled in California, Nevada, Washington, Arizona, Nebraska, New Mexico, Illinois, Indiana and Wyoming.
SO glad we do our own eggs. With all the food recalls of all sorts makes me even more happy with the way we do things.

Not just that egg recall...a large farm last week lost thousands of hens to bird flu. Hickmans at their Arizona location. There go prices again

I kept a ewe tied up for 2 weeks. She liked the ewe lamb, despised the ram lamb. I tied her in the morning, made multiple trips to check on her, untied her at night. The ram learned to sneak up from behind while the favored one nursed. I left them penned another week, then turned them out. She never did like the ram, but he did his sneaky nursing and survived.

Just finished first cup of coffee. Going out to do chores, get ready for church and have second cup of coffee. Meeting DD In Madisonville this afternoon, she will follow me to shop and I’ll leave my truck. After church I’m leaving my car at church and asking for a ride home. DD has an electric car, not smart to come to my house with a storm coming, so she will leave it at church too. I’ll use the mule to ferry us, me, her and 2 granddaughters. Some of my road is already washed out, any more and I won’t be able to get in or out in my car.

Having coffee -- trying to wake up & feel like a nap might be better idea. Had yogurt & pineapple chunks for breakfast. It's been raining, so overcast & dull out. More rain spotty today. Turned on AC for first time this year yesterday afternoon. Turned it off this morn. I'm cool enough. Working into a long, slow day.
