You know the weather is bad or going to be bad when storm chasers are circling like flies on schit. Not just recent storms, but they are sticking around for the entourage.

The construction season here has officially kicked off for me, now time to go find customers for next month. This month is booked.

Coffee, tortilla with homegrown Cherokee tomatoes and Swiss cheese. Have to water the greenhouse tomats, fix a gate (finding the tools is the first hurdle). Hubbs is home this pm after a business x family trip. Twister choked on feed last night. He had enough sense to get a drink and it cleared. Fine this morning. Busy day, pick up house, groom dogs, work with pupster who gator rolls on a leash. Have a great day everyone. Happy Father’s Day!

Wellllll, foggy here as well - but that's normal for here - they call it June Gloom. Personally - I like it, keeps things cooler then it burns off usually around 9 or so.

Is the sheep pottery or metal?? And, is it new or vintage? I have never seen anything like it.
The sheep is pottery, not vintage at all - though it could pretend!
I actually have two - one I bought the last time I made it the pottery show about a year and a half ago. Here are the two I have....

Going to Brick N Barn later this morning to see what they've got (arts and antiques) and catch up with friends. It's the monthly "show" they have. Then home to pluck out more of the wether and try making some ravioli to go with the lamb I braised yesterday. It'll be an experiment - so I'm crossing my fingers. Probably way to advanced for my meager pasta making skill  but I've got an idea :duc:duc:lol:

Some of y'all will be counting sheep jumping the fence to sleep, others will be counting the goats escaping or the chickens flying away, me I will be counting the scoops I take with the excavator to fill the dump truck.
I counted 162 for ten dump truck loads for today's fun. Load 16, run dump truck, dump, repeat...

All hell broke loose last night, multiple tornadoes came through the area, one hit here. Structure is fine of course, poor wife didn't know what was going on, I picked her up and tossed her in the underground shelter and followed. Time to go access the damage this morning.
This was in town...

Drinking coffee in the quiet that is the woods. My city girls sleep late, with no traffic or airport noises. It's our last full day here at Cumberland Falls. We're hoping to get a swim in the pool, inbetween the thunderstorms. And go back to the nature center to pan gemstones. Even the younger will remember some of this visit, she's 5.

Looking at turtles:

Yes, they got a boost to see better. Both are tiny, like their mother.

You're unhurt, that's the best news.

Lol, the road closed sign. OH REALLY?! I HAD NO IDEA.
It's kind of late in the year for tornadoes, but man, tell that to nature lately. I'm glad you had your wits about you and you both made it. Hopefully the tornadoes missed you.

I still have night mares about the nights the tornadoes don't stop. They're a big reason why my PA man husband opted to leave the south (plus his dumb wife saw no issue with going to TSC or similar with the kids during a tornado watch, hanging out in the break room with the staff while the tornadoes tear through town blocks away, and maybe leaves her phone in the car...HEY, they didn't hit us. They were blocks away.)
Here's to hoping you two both take it in stride and don't have any more for a while. Tornadoes are not good for spousal harmony.
