Coffee, yum. Hot out today -- upper 80s. So AC is on. Pretty much inside day. Bought a discount cabbage which still had some nice outer green leaves. Gonna make a pan of stuffed cabbage rolls A neighbor had a few peaches left & gifted if I wanted them. Went & picked up & off. After some cutting off damaged, should have enough for a 2-3 pints of peach butter. Good they only need WB seals! Not enough for pulling canner back out -- but won't be wasting this fruit so a "fruitful" day.

I love coffee, black, dark roast...I want the spoon to stand up straight in the mug!


Tea leaves a film in my mouth, a coating on my teeth that irritates me. I've tried white, gray, herbal, doesn't matter, it's all to me.

My favorite is Stash Double Spice Chai, with cream and honey!

I like a strong, black coffee -- not to standing a spoon Black tea with cream & a touch of sugar is good for me when I want something softer. I'm not a fan of green or herbals.

I've never thought to make peach butter. How do you make it?

Just chop & cook down like you do apple butter.
I added a little sugar but no spices in this. Jarred & WB 10 min.
Plus 4 trays of slices in the dehydrator.

Louis L'Amour described cowboy coffee as being strong enough to "float a horseshoe".


Up early. Debbie appreciated my attention to her empty dish, and is now sprawled on the back of my recliner...tough life being a house cat. I brewed my usual coffee, and it is starting to taste like coffee again, instead of lighter fluid!


So much is on my To Do, now that I feel close to normal, will get started once it gets a little lighter. Rain is forecast for tomorrow, so once the dew dries off the grass I'll probably mow.

Good morning all. Woke up to a message from a close family friend. Her mom has had Parkinsons for many years and she is in her last days. We just celebrated her 90th birthday this year. She wanted me to know so I could come up and see everybody this afternoon. This is a close trip for once, less than 10 minutes. My heart is hurting for her and the family. I lost my mama last November. She was 93. This kind of makes it all fresh. I love them all.
