@Mini Horses -- yup I'm taking the master food preserver course. First "meeting" is on Zoom (ugh) tonight and the class officially starts in January. And @Baymule I'll let you all know how it goes - should be fun and I'm thinking I'll be doing a lot of canning "homework"!

I'm ready for winter!! OH YEAH!!! But then winter here is cool (not frizz brrr cold, though my tolerance has changed after being here over 35 yrs) occasional rain and green as green can get - like the green in Hawaii.

Clean house - I love a clean house, but Martha Stewart doesn't live here (wish she did things would look amazing). But with 6 dogs in the house (and yes on the furniture, they are all good cuddlers) and no greenery outside (translate to dust) I'll match your dust and up you one ♠️♦️♣️♥️
And @Blue Sky I think we all have science experiments in the fridge!!!

Went out for dinner last night to a restaurant we used to go to often. Nice place. But ..... the food was just there - not a lot of flavor but sure did look very pretty on the plate. Coming to the conclusion that it's not about the food there, it's about a pretty plate. Thinking that may be the case many other places as well. Needless to say we're not going back.

And big news - it rained last night - 4/10 inch!!! That's the first rain in 7 months (yeah now you can understand our dust  ), but ohhhhhhhh now the humidity UGH.

And - it looks like a lot of us are mug-aholics 😆.

Or just get a van?

I don't sleep on the ground anymore, it's too hard to get up (and down).
:old
Those vans made to live in though are stupid expensive! Stupid expensive and no toilet! Makes no sense to me!

But yes, buy a regular van and toss a mattress in the back!

Morning all. Some days I wrangle dishes too. The road to hell is paved with good intentions but sometimes ends in my sink. And I occasionally have “science projects “ in my fridge. What we know all too well is that our lives are prioritized differently. If outside chores aren’t taken care of something withers or dies.
Yeah, I find those in my fridge too...lol

My science projects are a direct result of some financial rough patches. Every bit of everything went to feed all of us. Ai ai things are better but I hate my sloppiness.
Not sloppiness... your artistic sense that is being expressed through various mediums.

The particular random spread of junk mail and rubber bands, attempting to consume counter space.... is perhaps a representation of the milkyway with its scattered stars and planets.

Coffee is ready! The dishwasher is on, then I get to procrastinate on unloading the darn thing and reloading it with the dishes in the sink. None now, but I'll dirty up some.

@Poka_Doodle 30 degrees is deep winter here! We don't usually have a lot of below freezing days. When it gets in the 20's its an emergency! LOL

@Alaskan clutter is my nemesis. Oh how I long for cleared off counters, I clear and clean, and the clutter creeps right back. Since this is a farm, some interesting stuff can be seen. Not sure I wand the un-farmed to see that.

I need to raise a gate today. It is dragging in the dirt and hard to open and close. It goes to a pen that I'm going to put Little Ringo in next week and I'll need to be able to swing it shut. rehanging gates by myself is a lesson in cuss words. I use ALL the usual ones and make up new ones as I go along. If anybody was around, I'm sure it would be quite educational. Fortunately nobody is around to hear it and I only have to apologize to God.

Get one of the wheels that goes under the swing side of the gate... it takes the pressure off the hinge side, off the post, and supports the gate while it is being used... stops the constant having to rehang or adjust the "hinges/posts"...
You do know to tighten the top "hinge" in towards the post and adjust the bottom one out a bit to change the angle of the gate as it hangs also...

There isn't room between the gate and the post. I only have one "wheeled" gate and it sure is nice. Yeah, I know the hinge pin adjustment thing, it's already like that. But when a heavy ram climbs the gate looking for feed, it kinda sags. I had a post with the hinge pins already in it, not spaced exactly like I wanted, but like always, I made do. Eh.

In my house any empty surface is quickly covered. I'm the daughter of a stacker, my mom had piles of books and papers all over. I see it as a sign of a person of many interests and not enough space.

It's not messy, it's just...cluttery!
