Got most of my errands done, scored at a yard sale and thrift store and Aldi's.

And I came home with my first installment of blocks, to rebuild my raised bed gardens.

I stopped at 20 blocks. I figured my little SUV could handle 600 pounds, didn't want to push it.

Speaking of...the two employees at Lowe's were a study of opposites. One slowly picked up a block, and gingerly set it in my SUV. The other started grabbing blocks rapidly and slinging them in the back, not carelessly, but with purpose. I complimented him.

Coffee is ready. Church this morning, then a funeral at 1:00 in Lufkin, then graveside at the cemetery up the road. That will be all day. Went to another funeral in Lufkin with graveside at the same cemetery last month, it makes for a long funeral procession for miles.

Moving slow this morning, currently have coffee at hand. We got about an inch of rain so far, which will help our drought. It's windy with gusts, more rain forecast later. I didn't see any storm damage while outside, good. All cats fed, will check on the flocks later. I might take a true day of rest today.

Looks like @canesisters and @farmerjan are getting some rain as well. Hope so.

Great time to watch some football and do nothing for the day.

Storm hit the actual coast with tidal & wind issues. Here it wasn't near as bad, still going on but light rains & winds steady, 15-20 mph. At dark yesterday it started with fairly soft rain, winds came around 4ish this morn. Instead of 2.5" suggested, prob closer to 1" total. Nothing terrible, just a stay inside day. Goats are lounging in barns. I'm having coffee!
