Here comes our first frost. ⬆️

Time to move the house plants inside, and set up plastic to cover some of the gardens, mainly the cabbage and carrots. The collards don't care. :D =D

All hell broke loose last night with 80 mph winds and snow around 0200 hrs. Still little breeze of around 30 mph and snow falling this morning. After working 12 days straight on that house I need a break. High of 38°F but don't get too hopeful, highs will be mid 60's come Monday.

Little colder here this morning, 18 out. Snowed a bit yesterday, not really sure it stuck much.
Going to go into work today, but only to watch basketball.
My kids really think I should make them more cookies this weekend, I'll have to see how bored I get.

Wyoming was always terribly windy, this part of Montana doesn't get the wind as bad and I am excited to experience that.

Coffee with dense fog this am. Hard frost late Sunday night 29 degrees. Also expecting wind so time to add hay to doghouses and drop the door flaps. Moses had vaxxes yesterday including one for heartworm.
It’s cheaper (here) than monthly tablets. As I get older I like “one and done”. Hubbs is in the deer blind but it’s unlikely he can see more than a few feet. Possibly napping. Plastic for barn windows and plants inside is the plan for today. Little birds are well feathered. Off to chores. Have a good day everyone.

Houston weather was screaming about FROST and a possible FREEZE! Grocery stores will probably be packed and out of bread and milk. Temperatures will dip down in the 30’s briefly for 2 nights. Time to panic!

There would never be food in the stores here, if everyone panic bought every time it froze during the winter... :gig
