I like eastern NC. We have humidity, but no triple digit temps, and it rarely gets below 20°F in the winter...and we get one 3" snowfall a year.

Good morning y'all. I woke up at 4, but didn't get up until 4:45. I made coffee, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, got my propane heater going and it's nice a warm in here. My appointment for getting the results on my bone scan got moved to next Tuesday. Hopefully today I can finish processing the meat from the 3 lambs slaughtered on Saturday. Yesterday I processed skirt steak, fajita meat! Covered in fat and ligaments, that stuff is tough! I cooked a small piece, cut is strips, real tough and chewy. So I cut it in tiny pieces about the size of my thumbnail. Much better. All seasoned up, I snacked on the tidbits as I worked. Street Tacos! My son in law is excited, I told him I'd bring him some. I will grind the flanks and scrap meat today.

Good cold morning. 
32 it but 13mph N breeze gives a feel like of 20....yes, 20....
That's dead winter in my area. And -- just to make it perfect -- we had moisture. Not much, just a tickler.
It sure makes me worry for Jan/Feb. Weather researchers say 38 yrs since this has happened here.
So today's morning chores will be "interesting" . You betcha I have a room heater on to improve the 61 inside...of course, my trusty hot drink.
. Pretty sure my car will be clear by itself before I think to use it. You northern sorts chuckle but it's extreme here.

Men got to stomp and snort like a bull. Just don't overdo it and not aimed at her. Blow like a volcano, get it all out, then apologize and make nice. My philosophy: All men are arseholes. It's just finding what degree of which arsehole you can live with. That also works in reverse, just substitute witch.

My beloved BJ would rant and rave, never directed at me, but sometimes I wanted to knock him in the head, tell God he died, just to shut him up.
Apologies were not necessary but much appreciated because I was his rock, his steady place, but just the same, sometimes it got tiresome. Hug your wife and tell her how much you appreciate her for letting you blow off steam.

I was so wired, tired, and upset last night (missing Ron) that I didn't get to sleep until after midnight. I came in to work an hour later than normal, still before 8am. They can fire me.
Got to freezing here, not a hard freeze but since it's windy that may have helped.
Checked the chickens, waterers not frozen, threw some BOSS at those who'd come down off their roosts, ha! Early chicken gets the seeds?
Speaking of chickens, looks like I've been adopted. My DB texted me these pictures yesterday afternoon.
It spent the night in a box on my big compost heap.
And crowed. Great. Maybe he belongs to my backyard neighbor? Hope so. Turken or naked neck? BIG boy.
