Not showing my 10 day forecast, you'all will run me out of BYH town!
Home from the MOHS I've got a huge bandage on my lip/chin - directions say no big bites, no conversations, sleep upright, use a straw (will that work with coffee??). and the numbing is starting to wear off - oh joy. But good news is they got it all in one pass.
Straw, or a sippee cup?

So glad they got it all with one pass that's great.

Hope it doesn't cause too much pain and heals quickly!

Just to be clear, I am laughing at the FIRST part.

Gentle pats for the MOHS.

Glad it came out for the good. Can you fit a steak up a straw??

Good evening everyone.
Couldn't sleep today so I got up and went to town and picked up an order. Stopped and picked up a box of old fashioned ribbon candy I mail to a dear friend every year. She loves it but will never buy it for herself so I make her husband our famous secret recipe peanut brittle and she gets a box of the candy. As soon as I get brittle made I'll drop her package off to be shipped. That way I know it arrives before christmas. Have two more packages to get ready and shipped then I'm done for shipping presents. Just have a couple local gifts and I'm done with christmas. This year I haven't even really given it a thought with everything that's gone on. Normally I'm farther along and mostly done shopping and only have baking and candy left. But no baking this season. It will have to wait until we are in our new house.
Still need to do chores tonight. DH was working on the work rig when I got home. He's put so much time into it already. It's getting closer to being moving ready. Everyone keep asking me when I'll be out at the new house. I think people are under the impression it's an easy thing to just pack up and leave a lot of animals behind for near two weeks. I'm really hoping to get the trailer packed this weekend and head out monday or tuesday at the latest but finding it very hard to get things packed. Can't pack while DH is sleeping as much noise, even just packing tape sound, wakes him up. By the time he's up I've already put in an afternoon. By the time we're done with chores, he's off to work and I finish chores (milking etc) I'm beat and not up to packing a lot more. I'll pick away at it but at the moment it's feeling overwhelming again. I lost the rhythm when the trailer started leaking and now I'm back to analysis paralysis. I've already found we needed things that are packed so I'm struggling with what to pack and not pack. It would be different if the animals weren't involved.
Sounds like everyone had a good day but a cold one. Hope y'all have a great night and sweet dreams!

Just getting back home. DH had a belt separate on one of his back tires on his way to work. Of course there was a walk in cooler loaded on the flatbed and the stock trailer in the way. Had to unload it and get everything moved around so I could go pick him up. Got on the road and the brake box is flashing and error. UGH!!! :he :he I think we are running out of paper for our to do list at this point. Goodness. So one rig is in pieces still and waiting on proper parts. Thanks amazon for labeling parts incorrectly and continuing to send the wrong part with the right amazon label. :he:he One truck (the commuter) needs tires all the way around. Can not believe these tires haven't even lasted 3 years. Now my main rig is hooked up to the flatbed with the commuter on it. The stock trailer is stuck back sort of in it's parking spot but not really and a walk in is stacked chaotically on a couple pallets until tomorrow when we can get them stacked back properly. Chaos. Good news is on the long drive back from picking up the commuter I think DH and I have come to some pretty good conclusions on more big stuff that we are going to sell and give away here instead of taking with us. I think we are finally working through it all and figure out a game plan. I hope to be leaving to make the first trip beginning of next week if at all possible. That's what we are shooting for at this point.
Cow's screaming at me to be milked so I guess i'd better go tackle that.

I'm up with you!! Woke about same time, coffee going at 4am!! I blame it on the napping on yesterday's snow day!! At least I don't need to be at jury duty today!! hope my goats don't judge me today. I'll toss them hay, go to work for this half day of driving between stores -- today, make sure Mars candy is stocked :he:idunno Really??!!?? That's some BS audit crap. Right now, no other work slated until after new yr. I'm "testing" retirement. Saves gas.
