And I'm over here complaining about 48* with a rare northern wind.

I can't remember northern wind up until about 3 years ago and now it's happening several times per winter. Darn near ripped all the flat roofs off the barns a few years back. Them old barns weren't made for north winds. It chills me to the bone it's so cold. Gunna have to put thermals on and grab the hand warmers before I go pick up the calf.
Had a nice visit with SIL today. Got a mani pedi. Had lunch and coffee which I am paying for now.

It's been a long time since I've eaten out and holy moly the prices!

Poor mani/pedi gal apparently doesn't know what country living is like. I wore my good clothes/shoes but they got dirty just getting out of the driveway. Everything is a sloppy mess right now and still a lot of standing water in the fields. Had to put the truck in 4 wheel drive just to turn it around with the little stock trailer. So strange so early in the season. She should be glad it's not barefoot season.

Need to finish chores before going to the dairy. I get stuck there for hours and the critters don't understand the delays in feeding.
Feral kitty is hiding her head in the corner of her cage and just accepting her petting. Crazy. No growling or hissing or swatting so far. I did pray last night that God make it known his plan for her so loudly that we'd not mistake it. I didn't think it would be THIS loud.

Currently I have her nicknamed Betty aka Betty Boop because her eyes are huge and beautiful and her face kind of looks like Betty Boops. I don't know how DH feels about that name but Floofy isn't a name.

I still don't know her fate as far as being adopted or an indoor cat here. I really don't want another indoor cat. DH is dead set on not leaving her here when we go. Time will tell I guess. Still just floored she just tucks her head in and takes the petting.
Off I go to finish chores so I can head to pick up the calf. Y'all have a great night!
