Hope you get into the chiro today. I think most of us on here could/should have an inversion table. I have one that I rarely use. It makes a difference when I do on the bulging disc and pinched nerves.

@CLSranch YES!!! When my back was messed up so bad and the insurance was making me try stupid stuff for 9months, the only thing that gave me a little relief was to lay on the back porch with my legs hanging off while wearing my big, heavy steel-toe work boots. A very mild sort of traction I guess.

I will often grab a ladder rung, pipe hand hi, scaffold pole, whatever and hang for a few seconds when I'm at work. I know a guy who DIDN'T get back surgery just from doing this.

Short update. Got in to chiropractor. Says my spine is really "angry".... did adjustments in 3 places and the worst of the pain in the left leg/thigh is a little better. It is not going to be fixed all at once.. Going back again Thursday.... will have to make a few visits to get it to stay put... but I am hopeful I can at least get back to not having the intense pain. Still hurts but not quite as intense today.
Need to get back to some regular care.... I have been very negligent with the joint replacements, parents passing, and everything the last couple of years.
Peaches are ripening so need to try to get some of them worked up. Farm cancelled on me wed.... I cancelled monday's test and will reschedule it, ....

It takes several trips to the chiropractor to get it to stay put. By the time you go, to get fixed, your muscles are so used to being in that position they will just pull/push your spine or whatever back into that wrong position. Another reason I wish I'd use my inversion table more often.
After the camper started leaking it was a REAL pain to move the inversion table in and out of the back bunk beds every time it rained, so it just stays there and I never use it.

Yes, I have had to do the multiple trips to get the spine back in line and get the muscles to hold it there. But it "fixes" the problems per se, rather than mask them with drugs or something. My spine has had lots of abuse over the years...
That said, it is a little better, the pain is not so intense... tomorrow will help I am sure. In fact, I am hoping that it is good enough that I can go and test the herd that was scheduled for this morning (Wed) that she cancelled due to several cows being out of the tank for mastitis.... and she said should be back in the tank by Thursday... so I asked if I could maybe test them after I go to the chiropractor since I have to drive back within 10 miles of the farm on the way home... of course, that is going to depend on how I feel.... but I am going to take the stuff with me...
All that said... yesterday was interesting. Got a call from a neighbor, yesterday..... cow had calved day before yesterday, other neighbor (clueless about calves and that they don't get up in 2 minutes and start nursing and playing and was all upset that there was "something wrong") anyway... I was at Chiropractor so DS went from work and checked and calf was alive, cow was doing her thing.... well... it got halfway under the fence in a low spot, hind leg through the fence and stuck overnight. She called and said that the calf was stuck under the fence... so I went up and she helped me get the calf out...Told her about the pinched sciatic nerve.... I was a little unsteady on my feet so she helped me carry it to the car and I took it up to the barn there at the nurse cow pasture. Got it in the barn and noticed the calf's front legs were not right... stiff and crossed like an X.... but then came home to get a bottle and went back. Got the cow up there and got her in the pen and the rest were very good... she wanted to mother it but calf cannot get up... and it isn't "right"... didn't get a 1/4 bottle in it, and I texted DS and told him that I didn't think it would survive... he needed to look at it and decide to try a new calf on the cow or dry her up and sell her... He went up later after raking the hay since I was not able to do it.. and has decided to try another calf on her. I called around and the dairy closeby has one so we are going to go get it today when he gets off work... and see if we can get her to take a new calf. I don't think I can handle a healthy 2 day old calf on my own.... will put down the other one.
Back is a little better... still not fully steady on my feet... couldn't handle if a calf got away from me or anything like that right now.
So that made my day a little more difficult... and strenuous on the back but I managed.
So got a halfway fair night's sleep... wake up a couple times.... but could go back off to sleep. Got up this morning... was a little slow getting going also @Mini Horses, not as late as you but didn't get outside before 10. I also moved the kittens into the shed yesterday afternoon.. and they seem to be doing okay so far. Fed them this morning again and they came right to call... they can go outside and explore... but have the litter box right there and they are using it so all seems good. Picked them up and petted them a little... want to keep them friendly.
Let the chickens out and trap is sprung.... Came in and got the gun and another 1/2 grown sized groundhog. Several things looked nipped off but can't change that. I had not been in the garden since last Thurs or Friday with the back/nerve pain. Took care of that and will go out and reset it.
Tomatoes need to be tied up... maybe later or in a day or 2...
I dug around the base of several of the first row of fingerling potatoes and got a bunch that were "finger sized" and came in and boiled them for lunch with some butter salt and pepper... they were good.
Made a batch of vanilla pudding to have something cold to eat later...
Emptied sink of clean dishes (dual sink) and going to do the others one up. Got a pan on the stove to heat water to start doing the peaches.... dunk in hot, and then put in cold water and slip the skins. There are a bunch that have bad spots and some that are too far gone... should have gotten them done this past weekend but I will do what I can. Chickens are eating the smooshy ones.
Had to sit for a bit and ate the new potatoes... then will go in and get started on the peaches. I want to put them in the sink with cold water/ice to slip the skins. I will have to go get some ice first though... I didn't get ice frozen in the pt containers that I usually do ahead of time to use to chill the water.
Need to take something for the ache so it doesn't get ahead of me.

You're doing awesome for all the pain, just don't over do it - too much (yeah I know we all overdo).

Are they full size or will you wait for the rest to grow some more? Looks like my potatoes are JUST starting to make a few flower buds. Not sure what that means with respect to when I should harvest.
