Had my interview this morning. They answered a lot of questions. Next is lots of blood and urine testing. I’ll start that later this week when I have a few days off work.
So after doing a little research, I found out that there is a special suite in the hospital for donors ( and other patients who want to pay extra)
It’s set up like a 5 star hotel. They have an extra room for a family member, a kitchenette, non alcoholic mini bar , and a chef who cooks gourmet meals 3 x a day!
You eat on a linen table cloth with real China.
Guess this is how the rich experience the hospital. Will see…..
So the next step is to get a ton of labs done. I need to collect a 24 hour urine sample. When I turn in the urine jug the next day, they will draw labs. I'm guessing its going to be 15 tubes. Will see. Good thing I've got a big horse vein. These tests are mostly to see if me and my kidney are healthy enough.
Will report how many tubes it ended up being. Waiting for my two days off in a row to get this done.
Will see. I might chicken out. It;s not the surgery, it's the what if later..... But I think my chances of having kidney disease is small. Will see that the tests say.
Thanks everyone. Keep encouraging me! I truely believe that good things come to those who do good for others.
And i can use a little good in my life, it was a rough year last year.
