It wasn't evolution in the wild... it was through years of breeding... selective matings to improve/increase the capabilities of the animal to have more meat/muscle on the carcass. It would remind you of the differences of BISON (buffalo) from the domestic cow... Look at Longhorns that had the heads/horns for protection against predators... big front end... skinny hind end... also made for more/faster maneuverability with the bulk in the head/front end to use as defense...
Look at many wild animals/breeds.... the "prey" breeds...
