@Baymule @Bruce

Thanks so much. You guys rock. Most credit should go to the person that created the pattern. (Unfortunately I have no idea) I only take credit for the cutting, framing & finishing.

@babsbag Hi. You may. I have lost 40 plants in the past 3 months. I am trying to save another 40 or so. (90% of their roots/crowns destroyed) Moles have declared war on my flower beds.

I have tried everything I can think of.......except explosives! I have approximately 400 bulbous plants still left in the beds.....don't know where to move them.

Moles. UGH !!! We have ground squirrels here that eat roots of everything and dig holes everywhere and even undermine buildings. I understand war. I hate to resort to poison, (but I have), but have you tried that? I suppose you already tried the wire under the plants?

The only suggestion I can share with ya is to use raised beds with a solid surround, and hardware cloth under it. We have moles and voles really bad here. The cats will dig them out and kill them, but won't eat them. We grow potatoes in tires with the wire under and it keeps them at bay. Tho, with the flowers I would use some 2"x12"s and build some boxes with the wire under the bottom. I hat thos little SOBs.
