Its soooooo pretty!

I'm raising a spider in my bathroom. It was the size of the pin head when I first saw it three weeks ago. I catch a small fly for it every so often. Its body is now the size of 4 pin heads. When it gets too big, I'll capture it and relocate it. But I do like watching it grow. Weird, I know.
If they eat bugs in obscure corners spiders are allowed in my house...not venomous spiders, though.

I don’t know where garden spiders hang out all summer, they always seem to show up in the fall. Years ago when I raised rabbits, there was one that lived in the rabbit barn. She put her web over the aisle. I cleared web enough so I could walk under it. I named her Ophelia.
There are some years I don't see many, but this year it's an explosion of spiders...everywhere. They're eating insects, so I'm fine with it.

Note the dead spiders in her web...

I think she is supposed to eat aphids. One of the cucumber plants is majorly stunted due to aphids, so I'm hoping she will control them and move on when they are gone. I didn't see her when I checked on the garden after work yesterday.

Cloudy today, it rained last night but I don't think it was that much. I'm glad I got my laundry in off the line. I think it's supposed to sprinkle again tonight.
