Wether and one of my two ram lambs will go to market this weekend. The withdrawal period for antibiotic is 13days and this weekend will be 20days.

Any lambs before Dec 1st will be commercial sale unless they are excellent due to 2 rams in with herd. If there are great looking ewes, I'll do the testing.

Congratulations on getting the new job!

Some of my day dreams. We can get ag valuation on 5acres with bees after 3 years.
Best bet is only to look at properties that already have the Ag tax evaluation on them. I like the third property since it already has the barn. However, be aware that the property taxes on some of those propertes are $10,000 annually.

Only one has stupid high taxes due to freshly installed big barn. It is also 11.6 acres on CAD roles not 6.65 so easily put to ag. This info is all available but it takes 2 steps: 1) put address in GIS server to get owner name. 2) put owner name into CAD website to pull valuation.

Desk is cleaned and I did one drawer of file cabinet. I’m pretty sure I don’t need receipts and apartment info from 5+ years ago. I also pitched work papers and taxes from before 2000. I think 25years of history should be enough, LOL. :lol:
I was just asked by the state to provide a utility bill, tax return, or other official document from where I was living...25 years ago. I lucked out, found a copy of my Simple IRA statement from 2001. Perfect.

What I was saying was that if you buy a property with AG in place, you won't have to wait the time it takes to qualify. If you find something that you really like that doesn't already have the AG exemption, and you can afford the taxes while you wait to qualify that is a different story.

It took 5 years in Smith county for Ag exemption to kick in. That was our Lindale property.
