Welp, as you know, I’ve been wanting a dog of my own that can travel, that will get along with Boone and Fen.
I looked up a rescue near my Drs appt and saw a little dog that “had to be gone by the end of this month” . No telling what she is. She’s around 2, housebroke, sweet, smart, affectionate, confident, happy…her name is “Blessing”. (I did not name her)
I fell in love when I met her, Fen thinks she’s sexy and wants to hump her…she comes home 28th. I will have to work with her and Boone…

Hmmm. What size is she? Boone is large enough to supportively stabilize you. Fen is not fully dedicated to task 24/7.

While I realize you are in need of a working animal, this one makes me wish even more that Boones terror could be "fixed". And I know that road is a huge issue since it must be traveled to get anywhere! He's closer to what you need, IMO. And he's certainly attuned to you. Maybe not as attentive personally as your wanting. Remember Heath with love but, know he will not be duplicated, no matter how hard you wish it. 🥹

Hoping Blessing will fulfill her name for you! 🥰👍

She’s only 30 lb. She will walk next to my wheelchair or ride on my lap. She won’t do mobility and Fen will have to continue working for me for quite awhile. I don’t bring her home for two more days. There will definitely be an adjustment period for Boone to accept her and not resource guard me. I think they will do well eventually as they are both (all 3) quite playful. She needs a lot of training an adjustment but she will be worth it. She has loads of personality and loves people and other dogs.
I wish Boone could travel. I miss having his help and the wheelchair is no fun, but I’m gonna have to accept it

We got her. I think she’s going to be a lot of fun to work with and good company for Boone while Fen is gone. Maybe it will cure him of his 5:00-7:00 woooo wooos. Praying he will accept her and not resource guard me.

She’s got lots of energy, and can be anxious but she’s seems super smart. If Boone is good with her it’s going to be an awesome journey. She’s THE MOST food motivated thing I’ve ever seen! I think she was probably a garbage hound before they found her. 😝

Then she got adopted twice and returned the next day 😞

Poor little fart is stuck with me though. I survived Fen. She will be a cakewalk. I hope a name that feels right comes up because its too hard to call her and I’m not crazy about it.

Very cute.
Essie? I was trying to think of a name that didn't sound too different from Blessing but it probably doesn't matter. A smart dog can learn a new name.

She hasn’t been off the streets all that long so I don’t think she’s too attached to the name. She’s a petite little thing and next to 150 lb Boone her little 30 lb self looks like a little squirt, so I have been calling her Squirt and she already responds to it.

Boone has been incredible with her. No jealousy, no resource guarding me, they were playing tag in the back yard and he was careful not to run over her. Fen, on the other hand is totally rude and wants to constantly hump her. We finally got after him because he wasn’t respecting her when she snarled at him. She apparently realized he was getting in trouble with us for it and began taunting him, backing into his face and at one point hiked her leg up at him!!! It made me think of Mardi Gras
