You can't see it in these pictures, but it's raining. Sun and rain, so funny when that happens.

Beautiful pictures. I walked around the yard today, scolding myself for not mulching a couple of flowerbeds which of course got weedy. Store mulch is expensive and I need a lot of it plus the old hay I had used left me with new and nefarious weeds. I decided to blow off weeding and grumbling I took a walk in the woods. The piney woods. Where the pines are. Where one can walk quietly because of all the pine needles presently on the ground and clogging the cattle panel across the seasonal creek. The piles of pine needles laying around after Hubbs cleaned out the seasonal creek this spring. Pine. Needle Mulch. Imma idiot. Well maybe my subconscious brain still works.

I really like these bags I bought off Amazon. I pad with some of my fabric stash then they go inside a cabinet or on top of stack with strap attached hook in trailer wall.
Holy smokes! Years ago when I bought the ones I had that I thought would fit my current machines (they don't) they were a lot more $ than these! Thank you!
@RR Homestead something you said bothers me. You didn’t want to be gone or on the road at Christmas because nothing good would come of that. I totally disagree. You have the wrong attitude and you need an attitude adjustment. Here ya’ go….
First of all, you are going to leave ahead of the rain. So less worry there.
Second, this trip is one fantastic CHRISTMAS PRESENT to both you and your husband. First load to your new home. It doesn’t get any better than that!
Third, put on your happy face, sing Christmas carols, hymns and praise God all the way. Pray, give thanks, ask for his presence in your truck and He will gladden your heart and light your way. Do not worry about things that haven’t even happened. You are prepared, you are locked and loaded, so GO.
God Bless you! You are 100% right. I'll work on that tonight. :hugs You are totally right. I always pray before one of us leaves. We drive in CA after all. :hu😂
Bubble wrap and fabric.
That's what I was thinking too. However fabric is packed. I got some foam I've been working on wrapping them in with lots of padding around that.
Yesterday was my sit with Kit day. And a Kit first --- holding his bottle (he saved a first for Grandma!)

Today is lesson day for detection training. Got all my students presents wrapped in the nick of time. Each getting a coffee mug with pics of their dogs.
Gotta run first is up soon. Have a great day all.
Now that's a beautiful blessing!! What a gift from God! Thank you for sharing! ❤️

Good afternoon all. Trying to wrap up day to day things and get back to packing/loading the trailer. Got a little rain this morning. Hopefully no leaks in the trailer. I'm nervous to go look. One more day of no rain then it's going to be continuous rain from what the predictions are. Really want to be outta here by then but we'll see. Getting closer by the night.
Time for another cup of coffee. Y'all have a great evening!

Decent weather, needed a jacket but not full on Arctic wear. 👍. Work outside, corraled some animals, replaced some fence, dumped 2" of leftover ice from tubs. Chores and so on. Warmer tomorrow and next 10 days, they say. :celebrate

Just relaxing, having hot tea. Anticipating what'll be sore when I wake tomorrow. Eehhh, it'll be minor. More outside days all week

We had a whopper of a wind storm come thru last night. Woke me up. Howling, banging, dogs panting in fear in their crates, one cat at the bedroom door yowling. Power went off at 1:30 a.m.

I got up and used the powerful flashlight to see what was about outside. The full blue recycling cart blew over and recycling all over. Way too windy with huge fir trees beside me, to go out in the dark to pick up our stuff...

Pots blown over, debris everywhere. I checked the auto tents down below and they looked sturdy. My winter spinach was upside down.

Took 2 hours to go back to sleep, but one of the reason was there was a 48 lb cattle dog on my pillow with me, a 45 lb cattle dog in between hubs and I, old cat next to my legs, and 1 yr old kitten on hubs legs.

I got up at 5:30, lit Mexican candles, fed the indoor animals, and waited. We then had to leave at 9:15 a.m. for a oncology appt for hubs, down in Portland. One freeway was closed AFTER I got on it. So I ran the shoulder, and my phone rerouted us to another freeway/bridge. We got there 15 min late, but they were very understanding.

Got home at 1:30, hubs is setting up the dual fuel generator that I bought last year; couldn't get it to start cus wifey doesn't know what she is talking about when she nags hubs go start the damn thing every so often; Blessed Power comes on a 2 p.m.

Wind was powerful but half the strength of Weldman's. My home insurance doesn't cover wind damage.

I was wondering if the windstorms mentioned online were an issue. Glad you're okay.
