Ya' know when I read that I thought hmm wonder if that can aggravate the fibro - so I did a search and found...I’m on opiods but they don’t work on Fibro. Nothing I have found does.
I'm glad the pain is easing up. I can't even imagine.I’m on opiods but they don’t work on Fibro. Nothing I have found does. Not the pregabilin, not any of the myriad of meds they’ve prescribed. It’s neurological and does something to your nerves and the pain centers in your brain. It’s insidious and can be absolutely debilitating.
Thank God that today it’s beginning to ease up. I didn’t feel like I was going to make it
Your post reminded me of the foods I avoid because they can increase inflammation:I have a friend with Fibro. She went on the Keto diet and it greatly improved. Is that something you've ever tried? I was on Keto for two years and I felt so good, it improved my asthma (I never had an attack while on keto) and arthritis pain. It reduces inflammation. I'm considering going back on it, because of how good I felt. It is very restrictive, but the feel good results were amazing. It changed my whole knowledge of nutrition and made me aware of what we should or shouldn't consume. I still eat a fairly low inflammation diet.
There are also new studies coming out about glp1's improving fibro. Enough that it's something I would look into and consider.
Corn is the only one that seems to bother my joints. But I can get away with a little once in awhile, because the inflammation in my body is low, to non existent now.Your post reminded me of the foods I avoid because they can increase inflammation:
If I cheat and eat white potatoes I get a sinus headache, congestion, and my joints ache.
- Nightshade vegetables (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant)
- Corn and corn syrup
- Citrus (except pineapple)
